I haven't blogged in years, but I decided recently that it was something that I wanted to get back into. It might be best to give you a quick catch up as to what I've been doing over the past few years (or an introduction if you're new here!): I'm Liz, I've recently graduated from University with a degree in Film Production, and I currently work full time in retail.

Working in retail is surprisingly draining. I'm slightly dreading the Christmas period as it seems like I won't have much time to prepare, but if I'm honest I'm glad that I'll have some money this year to treat my family and friends to the gifts they deserve. Since I've started working full time in September, which I must admit was quite a drastic change to University life(!), I try to make the most of my days off. Of course, I'll let myself have a lie in and such, but I don't really enjoy being lazy on my days off any more, as free time seems to be quite precious at the moment, although we all need days where we can just recharge our batteries. Something that I love is visiting National Trust places. If you're not familiar with National Trust is, it's basically an organisation that takes care of a great number of country houses and land across the country. I love taking a picnic to one with my family every so often, and what I love about these days out is that it's always great no matter the time of the year - Summer is great for having a lazy picnic, and Autumn is great for a walk in the woods with you wellies on. I plan to visit another one in the near future, so will definitely take some photographs to show you.

Although Christmas isn't until next month, I'm already starting to prepare (much to mum's horror!). As I said before, my days off are precious to me, and so I don't really like to spend them shopping as I spend my whole life in a shop anyway! I've started ordering some bits and bobs online - mainly festive homeware for myself if I'm honest - Asda do a great vintage themed collection every year and two of my favourite things are Christmas and all things vintage! Very much looking forward to making my room a little more festive as the month goes by.

That's all I've got to update you on for now, but let's see how long I'll be able to keep the blogging up for this time! I'll leave you with a photo of my hometown in the Autumn - the lane is one of my favourite places as it looks beautiful in any season.

Liz
